10 killed in accident

GHALANAI: Ten people were killed and 17 others inju­red on Friday when a mini-truck plunged into a deep ravine in Pandyalai teh­sil of Mohmand tribal region.

Local people said the truck was going to Dawezai area from Shabqadar when it fell into the ravine in Shati Kandao area, leaving 10 passengers dead and 17 injured.

Members of a peace committee and area people reached the place of the accident and shifted the injured to the AHQ hospital in Ghalanai.

Some of the injured died on way to hospital and four were later referred to the Lady Reading Hospital in Pesh­awar because of their serious condition.
