PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's provincial cabinet on Friday saw the induction of Jamaat-i-Islami's (JI) Muzaffar Said as the provincial finance minister and Deputy Speaker Imtiaz Shahid Qureshi as the provincial law minister.

The appointments took place at the KP Assembly.

Said took over as the provincial finance minister — a post which fell vacant when former KP Finance Minister Sirajul Haq tendered his resignation after being elected as JI Emir.

On the other hand, the law ministry post had fallen vacant following the death of former KP Law Minister Israrullah Gandapur in a suicide attack on Oct 16, 2013 in Dera Ismail Khan.

Gandapur had died with nine others as a suicide bomber had targeted an Eid gathering at his residence in Kulachi village.
