ISLAMABAD: Referring to a report “Engro Finds major faults in LNG terminal agreement,” Engro Elengy Terminal has clarified that the SSGCL had taken steps to ensure timely completion of all deliverables after the protest letter. It said work on the project was progressing at full speed now with completion expected to be earlier than the agreed date.

It said that given tight schedules for the project, the government of Pakistan, along with relevant authorities, was provided regular feedback on progress of the project, including critical issues requiring action so that the 335-day deadline is not missed. The stakeholders have continued to support with a positive response received from them on all matters so that LNG can start to augment the increasing shortage of gas in the country.
