The convict, Mudassar Ali Shah, son of Tajdar Ali Shah, of Nauthia Jadeed, faced trial for killing an army man, Ghulam Nabi, a resident of Sanghar, on Jan 3, 2003.

The case was registered at the East Cant Police Station under Section 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code and Section 7 of the Anti- Terrorism Act, 1997.

According to the prosecution the convict and the deceased had exchanged hot words at a shop in Nauthia Jadeed following which the convict killed Ghulam Nabi. After the incident the accused had escaped from the spot, but was later arrested.
