Saying ‘No’ the right way

THIS is with reference to the article “Saying ‘No’ the right way” by Samreen Razi (YW, September 13, 2014). I want to appreciate the writer’s efforts of writing about an important topic. It taught us manners in the form of gentle and soft words which have faded away from our conversations nowadays. Ruthless accent is so common so this article is worth reading as it showed us a very good way to win hearts as well as do things the way we want.

“SAYING ‘No’ the right way” was an excellent article by Samreen Razi. It is a fact that in most situations we remain passive and except others’ views and this is why we often end up making the compromises we don’t want.

Though compromise is needed in some cases, it can be bad for our self-esteem and confidence. So it is better to say ‘no’ than say ‘yes’ all the time.

Importance of student life

STUDENT life is the most important period in one’s life. At this time our mind is like clay, which is mushy and can be moulded the way we want but the shape cannot be altered once it is dried. So is our mind which can be shaped in different ways when we are young and still students.

If we receive good training, we shall be good citizens in future but if we don’t receive good training, we shall not be good human beings when we grow up. Student life is the best time to think clearly about our future and decide which way to take because at that time we are free from responsibilities and can think more positively. So don’t waste your time, think today for a better tomorrow.

The sweet thief

THIS is with reference to the story “The sweet thief” by Hareem Ahmed (YW, September 13, 2014). It was an interesting, yet hilarious story, and it also taught us a lesson that no matter how much we may like something, we should not steal it.

Instead we should go for the right way either by buying it with our own money or asking our parents to buy it for us.

Reviews

THIS is regarding all the reviews, whether they are of book, movie or website, published in Young World. I would like to appreciate the writers as well as the YW team for publishing them as all these reviews add to the flavour of the magazine and serve as a guide to us, regarding what we should read or watch.

I would like to request the YW team to always include reviews and keep up the good work!

It’s all in the colours

THIS is regarding the cover story “It’s all in the colours” by Ambreen Arshad (YW, September 6, 2014). The article was very interesting and helpful for students. I found it very interesting because it was full of information about colours and their uses and it also explained how colours effect our lifestyle.
