ISLAMABAD, Sept 1: A 16-member Pakistan squad left here for China to participate in the 12th Asian (senior) Volleyball Championship to be played in the city of Tianjin from Sept 5.

The team: Irfan Nawaz (captain), Muhammad Amjad, Tariq Waseem, Zafar Iqbal, Ehsan Ullah Tipu, Muhammad Tufail, Ehsan Iqbal, Bakht Risal, Kashif Mansoor, Sajid Nawaz, Mazhar Hussain, Sajjad Ahmed.

Officials: Zafar Abbas Luk, Mahabat Khan. Coach: Ivan Dimitrov. Assistant coach: Bakhsh Javed.

Pakistan is scheduled to play its first match on Sept 5 against Australia, followed with matches against Chinese Taipei (Sept 6) and UAE (Sept 7).—APP
