KARACHI: A faith-healer was shot dead in Gulshan-i-Maymar on Tuesday evening, police said.

They added that Imran Kamal, 55, was sitting at his ‘astana’ in Jinjal Goth when assailants came there, fired at him and fled.

The body was shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities.

Superhighway SHO Rana Haseeb said that it appeared that the faith-healer was targeted by militants in the area. However, investigators were probing the exact motive for the killing.
