I APPEAL to the government and the armed forces to launch a major military operation in Karachi on the pattern of the current one underway in North Waziristan.

This operation must be launched to wipe out all nefarious elements regardless of political or religious affiliations, which have been responsible for sectarian, ethnic, religious, mafia-related terrorism which has been playing havoc with the largest city for the last 30 years.

For how long will the inhabitants of this hapless city remain silent spectators to this incessant wave of assassinations of innocent civilians, policemen, Rangers, religious clerics, etc?
