LAHORE, Aug 30: The immigration authorities at Lahore airport claimed on Friday to have arrested three passengers allegedly using fake travel documents.

The Federal Investigation Agency official told Dawn that Nadeem Aslam and brothers Tanvir Ahmad and Shakil Ahmad were to board a London-bound plane when the immigration staff declared their documents as invalid.

During interrogation, Nadeem, a resident of Azad Kashmir, said he had paid a huge sum to a local travel agent, Mian Tariq, for preparing a British passport for him.

Tanvir and Shakil, who belonged to Gujranwala, however, claimed that their passports were genuine.
