KARACHI, Aug 29: Prof M. Yakub Mughal, a scholar and expert on Pakistan Studies, has assumed the charge of Director of the Quaid-i-Azam Academy, Karachi, according to an announcement made on Friday.

Dr Mughal has earlier served as the director of the Pakistan Study Centre, University of Sindh. He obtained the degree of D.Litt. in Ottoman History in 1987.

Author of five books in Turkish and English languages, Dr Mughal writes frequently in both the languages as well as in Urdu and Sindhi.—APP
