QUETTA: Activists of the Balochistan chapter of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf staged a demonstration and lit bonfires here on Sunday to condemn police action against protesters in Islamabad.Traffic in parts of the city remained disrupted for a few hours because of the burning of tyres and the demonstration.

The PTI supporters asked traders and shopkeepers in different areas of the city to close their businesses to express solidarity with the participants of sit-ins held by the PTI and Pakistan Awami Tehreek in Islamabad.

The PTI leaders condemned the Islamabad and Punjab police and said the PML-N government was using force to suppress the political movement against the alleged rigging in the 2013 elections.
