LAHORE: Charged activists of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) ransacked public property and blocked roads around the Liberty Chowk late on Saturday night in reaction to the Islamabad clashes.

Police resorted to lobbing tear gas shells at the protestors to disperse them. They retaliated and pelt policemen with stones.

The protesters, most of them youngsters and carrying clubs, also set tyres on fire.

Policemen batoncharged some protestors, including MPA Murad Ras.
