ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) president and party leader Javed Hashmi was shifted to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) on Monday after he fell ill.
Hashmi fell ill during the ongoing PTI protest in Islamabad and was shifted to the PIMS hospital in Islamabad where he is undergoing treatment.
According to the medical staff at PIMS, Hashmi was fatigued and suffered a minor attack of asthma.
The PTI president was also dehydrated due to hot weather and had throat infection, the staff said.
The PTI has been protesting against alleged rigging in the 2013 elections and has been demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif whose government it says was formed in the outcome of a rigged election.

It is sad that Pakistani nation is trusting the sick,disabled not fit leaders. They must pave the way for the new generation. By watching Mr. Javed Hashmi people in the concert was losing their mood.

He must now pray to Almighty and say Allah Allah,instead of taking part in dharna,leave the politics for younger Generation,and show them the honest way.Imran Khan in his election campaign promise to give tickets to poor people,even mentioned in his speech,and now he is surrounded by rich Jagirdar one on his left and one on right, and industrialist,\not even one poor person is in his cabinet and parliment.

I condemn your comment. It means you like PTI concert at the cost of human life. Javed Hashmi has spent all his life for democracy. However, the party he has recently joined is working against democracy, which might be the cause of his illness. May Allah bless him complete health soon and he might consider quitting the PTI.

Rigging was proven, here are videos of even Railway minister Saad Rafique who is enforcing staff to go out and let his men cast fake votes as he was loosing badly from his constituency. This is just one example, there are many videos from different constituencies But liers don't want to accept. What a Shame PML-N, What a Shame!!!

I hope it will convince the leadership of both these DHURNAS to end this drama now. Hashmi was inside the air conditioned comfortable container but the followers and supporters of these sit - ins are in a miserable condition.

Before launching the Azadi March a home work regarding time factor and physical limitation of its workers by PTI chief even the fitness of the captain and aged leaders was not done to win this match. Imran himself seems exhaust.
