SIALKOT: More than two dozen houses and cattle sheds were damaged and some animals perished in shelling by the Indian forces in the Charwah sector of Sialkot Working Boundary on Friday.

According to the Chenab Rangers officials, Indian forces resorted to heavy shelling early in the morning which continued for four hours. The shelling left eight heads of cattle dead and damaged houses and cattle sheds.

Chenab Rangers retaliated instantly.

It was the 16th major incident of unprovoked firing by Indian forces on Sialkot border villages during the current month.
