LAHORE: Defence Housing Authority (DHA) residents' protest to express solidarity with the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf's Azadi March entered third consecutive day on Thursday. They are chanting slogans "Go Nawaz Go".

Meanwhile, the Insaaf Students Federation leadership has returned from Islamabad and taken over the charge to manage the protest on a regular basis.

Talking to Dawn on Thursday, ISF founder member Karrar Niazi said the PTI leadership had asked the ISF to manage the protest at Lalak Chowk, DHA. The protest was started by DHA residents themselves but now he along with another ISF founder member Moeezuddin Fareed was managing the protest. From now onwards, he said, the protest and sit-in would continue from 5pm to 2am on a daily basis.

He said: "Around 6,000 people are participating in the sit-in at Lalak Chowk and it will continue till the PTI sit-in in Islamabad."
