SWABI, July 22: Chota Lahor Tehsil Nazim Haji Mohammad Amin presented Rs16.158 million budget for 2003-04 on Tuesday without any new tax.

The Nazim told the session that it was the third budget of the tehsil without any new tax.

He said the tehsil government had paid Rs1.6 million to the surplus employees. He demanded that the district or provincial government should provide assistance in this connection.

He said Rs7.9 million had been allocated for non-development expenditure  and Rs6.696 million for development. He said all out efforts would be made for proper utilization of the funds and those involved in corruption would face action.

New development schemes, he said, would get Rs4.48 million and priority would be given to vital projects.

Naib Nazim Kifayatullah presided over the session.
