HYDERABAD: Three drown in Indus

HYDERABAD, July 22: Three young men, Ghulam Ali Mallah, 16, Aachar Mallah, 16, and Qurban Mallah, 20, residents of Qasimabad, drowned in the River Indus on Tuesday.

According to Hakeem Jatoi, resident of the Masroor Jatoi village of Qasimabad, the youths had gone for washing clothes at the river when they were swept away by its strong currents.

DIES: A woman, Shamshad Begum, died of burn injuries in burns ward of the Civil Hospital here on Tuesday.

According to the A-section police, Shamshad, who suffered from a mental disorder, suffered burn injuries on July 12.—BoC
