PESHAWAR, July 22: Inspector-General of Police Mohammad Raffat Pasha said on Tuesday that the government was working out a plan to establish model reporting police centres at sub-divisional level in the province.
Speaking at a police Darbar, he said the government was determined to improve professional expertise of the police. He asked the officials to bring an improvement at the police stations level.
He said the provincial government would take steps for the welfare of the police.
He said that during the recent inter-provincial law and order meeting the prime minister had agreed to provide all incentives to the Frontier police which were enjoyed by the police in other provinces.
He said a package of allowances and other incentives for the police would be presented to the provincial government.
City police chief Tanveer Sipra said the Peshawar police had arrested 783 proclaimed offenders during the last six months. He said 26 big operations were conducted during the period.
