Gullu Butt's release orders issued after submission of bail

LAHORE: An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Lahore on Friday released Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz (PML-N) activist Gullu Butt on bail, DawnNews reported.

The PML-N activist was released on sureties worth Rs400,000 and written orders for his release were issued after the submission of two separate personal bonds.

Butt came into the limelight after he was caught on cameras brazenly damaging several vehicles in the presence of police during a clash between PAT workers and police in Lahore's Model Town.

Gullu was arrested after the incident.

He was later taken to an anti-terrorist court (ATC) in Lahore. Police officials had told the court that Butt was involved in vandalism and looting when a clash had broken out between police and the supporters of PAT.

Through his counsel, Butt had submitted that police wrongly implicated him in the case. He had pleaded that he was just passing through the area of the occurrence and urged the court to release him on bail.

So sad. For once. Why can't they make an example out of this stuff? For once. Why can't they prove to the people that this nonsense will not be acceptable? Court orders like this only paves path for more of gullu butts to appear on the streets :(

I was skeptical of this Azadi march but after reading this news I fully support them. You want Pakistanis to support this judicial system!! All the evidence in front of them and they still release him?! Shame on this court!! They should release the name of the people who posted the bail. And they should also release the name of the judge who took this decision.

Now he should be tried for Perjury too since he is lying to the judge that he did not do anything and in the video he is smashing windows,all citizens get out your camera and take pictures whenever you see any injustice happening thats the only way to stop these criminals.This shows the power of evidence and pictures.

Just imagine if a he minor thug on the payroll of PMLN can get away with a crime so openly witnessed then what would those in higher positions must be getting away with? And this is why the Azadi march is happening and everyone in their right minds should be supporting it.

This guy should be penalized and put behind bars for good 6 months at least for what he has done , on top of that he should be fined extra-ordinarily , But hey this is Pakistan this is justice, and none of us give a damn . We need to improve our selves , because what we do is what we get .
