HYDERABAD, July 21: Renowned scholar and professor emeritus of the University of Sindh, Dr N. A. Baloch, has gifted 802 books to the university for its central library.

A total of 110 books are on poetry, 70 on biography, 400 on history and 222 on grammar. These books are written in Urdu, Sindhi, English and other languages.

The books on poetry cover Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai while the books on history pertain to the history of Sindh, Balochistan and Punjab, the last sermon of Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him), history of Pakistan and sources of history. The books on biography cover Sachal Sarmast, Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah, Liaquat Ali Khan, Allama Mohammad Iqbal and Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai.

The chief librarian of the Allama I. I. Kazi Library of the university announced that two students, Nayab Gul Qaim Khani and Fozia Ansari had prepared a complete data of books gifted to the university for the library by various scholars.—Bureau
