SIALKOT: The health department has provided android mobile phone sets to all vaccinators in Sialkot district’s 124 union councils with a sole aim to bring the vaccination of the children under the advanced information technology network and increasing their professional efficiency.

District Coordination Officer Nadeem Sarwar disclosed this while talking to reporters here on Saturday. EDO (Health) Dr Ziaul Hasan and DHO Dr Javaid Warraich were also present.

The DCO said the health department had distributed android mobile phone sets among all male and female vaccinators.

He said these sets also had the GPRS system facility and that all vaccinators would be able to take picture of every child in their respective areas while giving preventive vaccine to save the children from fatal diseases.

Mr Sarwar said the vaccinators would send the picture and data of every vaccinated child through the GPRS system in their android mobile phones to the health department and the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB), Lahore.

He said the system would be helpful in compiling the advanced digital data of the vaccination, besides tracking the movement of vaccinators.
