ISLAMABAD, July 20: The Pakistan Muslim League-N has convened an all parties conference in Islamabad on July 26, before the proposed government-opposition talks on the Legal Framework Order (LFO).

This was announced by acting president of the PML-N Makhdoom Javed Hashmi while talking to newsmen here on Sunday.

The Alliance for Restoration of Democracy (ARD) has also convened a meeting of the heads of its component parties in Islamabad on July 25.

In this meeting, the ARD is expected to nominate Makhdoom Amin Fahim as its candidate for the slot of the Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly.

Discussing details of his APC the acting PML-N chief said that he had invited some 24 opposition parties and different professional organizations to attend the conference. Those parties which have already accepted the invitation are: People’s Party Parliamentarians, Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal, Pakistan Tehrik- i-Insaf, Pakhtoonkhwa Milli Awami Party, Balochistan National Movement and Jamhoori Watan Party.

This will be the second APC of the opposition parties within a short span of 20 days. The earlier APC convened by the MMA was held in Lahore on July 6.

Mr Hashmi said the party had already completed arrangements for the APC, which would be held at the Parliament Lodges at 10am on July 26.
