CJ opens renovated courtrooms

LAHORE, July 19: Chief Justice Iftikhar Husain Chaudhry of the Lahore High Court has said the judges should help the needful by maintaining the highest standards of justice.

Presiding over a meeting of judicial officers at the sessions court on the occasion of shifting of some additional district and sessions courts from Aiwan-i-Adl on Saturday, the CJ exhorted the judicial officers to maintain the judiciary’s decorum through hard work and honesty. He also advised them to dispose of cases without delay.

“There is no paucity of funds and the development projects for the judiciary should be submitted to LHC without delay,” he added.

Later, the CJ inaugurated the renovated courtrooms for the additional district and sessions judges.—APP
