SIALKOT: The Daska police arrested Dilshad on Monday in the case of beheading a newly-wed couple.

Daska Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Engineer Rana Zahid Husain told reporters Dilshad had been at large for one month after the killing of his daughter, Mafia Bibi, and her husband, Sajjad Ahmad, for their court marriage.

The DSP said they would produce Dilshad before the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Gujranwala on Tuesday (today).

Dilshad with his wife Bashiran Bibi, father Ghulam Husain and brothers Shamshad and Iqbal Hasan allegedly beheaded Mafia and her husband Sajjad on June 26.

The DSP said Dilshad, during the preliminary investigation, confessed to killing the couple.

The ATC has already sent other accused in the case to the Sialkot District Jail.
