The UN human rights office has said that Israel could be violating the laws of war by bombing Palestinian homes in Gaza where the death toll from the latest offensive has risen to 100. It is the deadliest violence since a November 2012 conflict in Gaza.

DawnNews interviewed Nalan al Sarraj, a Palestinian reporter and an activist, to understand the exact situation on the ground in Gaza.

Jibran Nasir interviewed Nalan for the show, Izhar, during which the sound of the destruction from airstrikes carried out by the Israeli military could be heard in the backdrop.

During the interview, Nalan described the air of fear that has surrounded Gaza in the wake of Israeli aggression.
