QUETTA: An emp-loyee of the Frontier Works Organisation was injured when an FWO vehicle came under fire in Washuk area on Wednesday.

Police said unidentified gunmen on a motorcycle attacked the FWO vehicle. “As a result, one of the employees of the FWO received bullet injuries,” police said, adding that the assailants fled the scene after the incident.

The injured worker was taken to a local hospital but referred to Quetta because of his serious condition.

The FWO has been working on a construction project in the area.

The Washuk police have registered a case against the attackers and started investigation.
