LAGOS, July 16: Nigeria will appoint a new foreign coach in October to lead the team into next year’s African Nations Cup finals, the head of the country’s soccer authority (NFA) said on Wednesday.

NFA boss Ibrahim Galadima said 51 applications had been received from candidates interested in Nigeria’s top coaching job, with the majority from Brazil, England, France, Germany and The Netherlands.—Reuters
