PESHAWAR: A control room has been set up at the office of the commissioner Bannu to facilitate the internally displaced persons of North Waziristan Agency in getting help of the relief organisations and volunteers. The control room has been set up at the special directives of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak.

The basic purpose of the control room is to share with the concerned quarters fresh reports and information about the affected people of North Waziristan Agency, monitor the registration of IDPs and relief activities, address complaints against any federal or provincial government departments like

police, National Database and Registration Authority, Water and Power Development Authority, and municipal services, according to a handout issued here on Friday.

The control room would address on emergency basis the complaints of the displaced persons.

Similarly, the control room would also provide guidelines to the IDPs about the non-government and relief organisations for assistance both in cash and kind and about volunteers.

Assistant commissioner revenue, Bannu, Mohammad Asghar Marwat, has been appointed as the in-charge of the control room. Complaints can be lodged at phone numbers: 0928-9270044, 9270220, 62621144. Complaints can also be faxed at 9270041 and 9270220.
