interesting.. It shows our priorities (as a nation whether living in our out of Pakistan) and I am not surprised; however logic behind comparison also matters i.e. if both were placed at the same location of the web page, for same time-period, same time of the day; these page views coming from browser or tablets/smartphones etc... secondly it also show how few actually read or (read online).. if you can show the demographics then I am sure number of page requests coming from Pakistan will be less compared to the outside world.

well, its obvious that people will click on headlines and not some tiny headings which are not even visible. These stats shows absolutely nothing! A real stat would be if both of of the headlines are shown side by side, using the same font.

there is a major role of media in these statistics,because people concern more on head lines than sidelines. I am often astonish by sequence of news presented by TV Channels.

Media wont accept the difference between the importance given to each news. how much coverage they gave to Tahir ul qadri and how much to poli case. They are themselves biased but wont do their own audit. the should understand it and give attention only those area which is beneficial for people and country.

@khan I think Khan has a point. Do our magazine-covers carry pictures of actors / actresses or children on hunger-strike? Why don't we have Ads highlighting poverty and slums? Professor Nissar often points out this contradiction in his Tv interviews. He never tires of pointing out how we humans go ga-ga about someone's 'faquiree' on the one hand and dream of living like a nawab. Why don't the media bring the issues into sharper focus? If on a certain day, a leader organises an agitation that leads to a clash with police and results in deaths and on the same day a Pakistani scientist invents a cure for cancer, which will hit the headlines? Ali is a young man's dream. Looking at him ---- reading about him --- gives some satisfaction to that dream --- a sort of vicarious satisfaction. It is human psychology and the media play upon this psychology the most. As Khan says, you cannot reduce issue-based news to a corner and then complain that no one reads it. Tell me honestly, if Ali after a visit to India says something about India and a top sociologist from Pakistan visits India and says something, which will get more prominent media coverage? And which will be read more?

On what basis has the comparison been made ? In most cases , it is like comparing Apples and Oranges since the news items are of vastly different nature !

Again misleading infographics. A host of variables plays out when one clicks on a website to view its content. The content itself is one of those variables. As rightly mentioned by a number of readers above this proves nothing!
