Romania seeks investment

Published July 16, 2003

KARACHI, July 15: Romanian economic counsellor in Pakistan Czar Paun has invited Pakistani businessmen and industrialists to invest in his country.

The counsellor made this invitation during a meeting with Haroon Rashid, vice-president Federation of FPCCI, at Federation House, said a FPCCI release here on Monday.

Czar said that Romania is a market based economy and gateway to Western Europe as it would become a full member of European Union in 2007.

He said Pakistani businessmen should avail this opportunity and invest in Romania so that they could easily penetrate into Western European market.

He proposed that a trade delegation from Pakistan should also visit to Romania during Pakistan-Romania Joint Ministerial meeting scheduled to be held in October this year.

He further asked the FPCCI to motivate its members to participate in the industrial and technology exhibition to be held in October 2003 in Romania.—APP
