11 hurt in accident

MIRPURKHAS, July 13: Eleven people, including three children, were injured when a pickup overturned near Mirwah town on Sunday.

The pickup met the accident when its driver tried to save a pedestrian. The injured were shifted to the rural health centre, Mirwah.

COTTON: The cotton growers have condemned the arbitrary deduction of Rs5 per maund on cotton, which got wet on trucks and trolleys during the recent rains.

A meeting of the Sindh Abadgar Board, held on Sunday, said various cotton factories did not let trucks and trolleys, loaded with cotton crop, enter the factories during the rains.
