SUKKUR, Dec 16: Three persons were injured and six houses were damaged when Jakhrani and Bugti tribesmen attacked the houses of each other in village Lal Khan in the jurisdiction of Malguzar police station on Sindh-Balochistan border on Sunday.

Both the tribesmen used rocket launchers and other automatic weapons in the battle.

Police sources said that Bugtis fired about six rockets on the houses of Jakhranis injuring three persons and damaging six houses.

Tension mounted in the area after the clash and both the groups are entrenched against each other.

Police said that Jakhranis and Bugtis had a dispute over a piece of agriculture land and this was the third clash between them during the last six months.

The names of the injured persons could not be ascertained immediately. In another incident, 20 armed bandits attacked village Gulsher Khan Jakhrani in the jurisdiction of Bugti Colony police station near Kandhkot and kidnapped Shah Ali and Gullu Khan.

However, the villagers chased them and after an exchange of firing, the kidnappers were forced to flee leaving behind the hostages. Meanwhile according to a report from Bakhshapur, SDO Mohammad Nawaz Sundhro, who was kidnapped by armed bandits some one and a half month ago, was released by the kidnappers after receiving heavy ransom from his relatives.
