KARACHI: Uplift schemes launched

KARACHI, July 12: City Nazim Naimatullah Khan said that within a short span of time the city government has completed various development projects and has started new ones to provide relief to the people.

He stated this while inaugurating various development projects, including those of construction of roads, streets and parks, worth million of rupees in different union councils of the Gulberg Town on Friday night.

Accompanied by town Nazim Farooq Naimatullah and Nazims and Naib Nazims of the union councils concerned, the city Nazim inaugurated the construction work of roads and streets in Union Council No 4, Ancholi, at a cost of Rs3.5 million.

He also inaugurated a park in UC-3, besides the Allama Shabbir Turabi Park in UC-8, along with road-and-street construction work, involving a cost of Rs3.5 million in UC-7.

He remarked that due to the efforts of the city government, Karachi had been converted into a green and beautiful city and he expressed hope that the development work would continue with the same spirit.—APP/PPI
