Journalist dies

MULTAN, July 11: Senior journalist Qamarulhaq Qamar died here on Friday at the age of 41 due to cardiac arrest.

He was the deputy editor (News) of daily Khabrain, Multan. He belonged to a religious family as Maulana Khair Muhammad Jalandhri was his grandfather, while his father Maulana Abdul Haq was also a religious scholar in his own right.

His funeral prayers will be offered on Saturday morning at 7am at Jamia Khairul Madaris where his younger brother is deputy chief. He is survived by a widow and three daughters. — Correspondent
