LAHORE, Dec 16: Punjab Law Minister Dr Khalid Ranjha on Sunday urged banks and development finance institutions to provide better service to their clients by using information technology in their offices.

He was speaking at the inaugural ceremony of Multi-user Online Banking System at Habib Bank’s main branch on The Mall. Terming computer technology a key to success and progress, he said the banking sector should take full advantage of the information technology.

He said the federal government was spending Rs6 billion on the promotion of information technology while another Rs4.35 billion were also being spent on the establishment of e-government in the country.
