LAHORE: Light rain forecast for Eid

Published December 17, 2001

LAHORE, Dec 16: It will remain cloudy with chances of light rain in the city in the evening on Eidul Fitr falling on Monday, according to the local Met office here on Sunday.

The Met office also predicted chances of rain in the Northern Areas, Malakand, Hazara, Azad Kashmir and many cities in the Punjab on Monday, saying it would be caused by an approaching westerly system.

Meanwhile, Sunday was a clear day in Lahore but Skardu received the first snowfall of the season.

The maximum temperature increased in Lahore from Saturday’s 18.6 degrees C to 21 degrees due to a bright sunshine but the night’s minimum temperature was 8.5 degrees C.

The Met office said the likely cloudy weather and rain in the evening on Monday would drop temperature in Lahore and create chilly weather conditions.
