ISLAMABAD, Dec 16 : The spokesman of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has condemned the regime’s action of instituting yet another politically motivated case against Senator Asif Ali Zardari when he had been granted bail in all the other cases.

In a statement the spokesman said Senator Zardari was granted bail in all the cases including the narcotics case and should have been released.

Instead the regime, disregarding the judicial process instituted another politically motivated case against him and arrested him.

He said this is indicates the distorted mindset of the regime which has no respect for the law and rule of law. Asif Ali Zardari has been used as a pawn in the power game and there is no justification, whatsoever, in not releasing him after he had been granted bail on all the cases against him.

He said that it is very unfortunate that the regime is acting as a force creating division in the nation instead of taking the entire nation into confidence at a time when threat looms large over Pakistan.

The PPP would not be deterred from their resolve to restore democracy and the rule of law no matter what terror the regime unleashes on them.
