ISLAMABAD, Dec 16: Former prime minister Benazir Bhutto on the occasion of Eidul-Fitr hoped the government would fulfil people’s hopes and aspirations by reverting to the rule of law and constitution and a representative government in the country.

Extending greetings to Muslims throughout the world and particularly to Pakistani citizens, Benazir on behalf of the PPP asked the people to spare a thought for the less fortunate ones, who are condemned to a life of misery and sufferings.

“A true joy can be felt only when it is widely and genuinely shared with many. Let us pledge to strive to help the needy and the poor, alleviate their sufferings and enable them to participate in the festivities of Eid”, she said.

On the auspicious occasion of Eidul-Fitr, I extend greetings to the all Muslims throughout the world particularly to my Pakistani brothers and sisters living in the country and abroad on behalf of the PPP and myself, Ms Bhutto said.
