QUETTA, July 9: The opposition leader in the Balochistan Assembly, Kachkol Ali, said on Wednesday that a special session of the house would be requisitioned to discuss last week’s attack on an Imambargah and evolve a strategy for avoiding such incidents.

In a statement, he expressed sympathy with the affected families, condemned the attack and demanded early arrest of the terrorists.

He expressed concern and sorrow over the incident which claimed 53 lives and said: “It is not a loss of one sect, it is a loss of the whole nation.”

The Balochistan National Movement leader said that during the budget session of the assembly he had asked the government to take steps for improving the law and order situation.

#DEPUTY SPEAKER:# Balochistan Assembly Deputy Speaker Mohammad Aslam Bhootani also condemned the killing and termed it a conspiracy to pit the people of different sects against each other.
