PESHAWAR, July 8: Civil Quarters Club entered the semifinals of the Peshawar Distrcit Hockey Championship after securing 4-0 victory against Combined Stars at S.M. Lala Ayub Hockey Stadium on Tuesday.

Now Civil Quarters Club will play Cantonians in the first semifinal to be played on Wednesday at 4.00 p.m.

Civil Quarters Club comprising international junior players Zia-ur-Rehman, Samad Khan, Zeeshan, Asif Islam, Amir Hamza, and Said Shah turned the match into a one-sided affair.

Civil Quarters took the lead in the ninth minute when inside left Asif Islam, sounded the board with a powerful hit from the top of the circle.

A minute later Civil Quarters Club doubled the lead through centre forward Sajjad Rashid on the field attempt.

Civil Quarters maintained their domination in the second half and struck two more goals through right winger Haroon and centre forward Sajjad Rashid to complete the scoring.—APP
