KARACHI, July 8: Newspaper employees on Tuesday staged a day-long sit-in outside a newspaper office on I.I. Chundrigar Road to protest against the non-implementation of the seventh wage award.

The sit-in camp was organized by the Karachi Union of Journalists and the All-Pakistan Newspaper Employees Confederation (APNEC).

Those who visited the camp and declared their support include ARD chief Nawabzada Nasrullah Khan, MPA Abdul Quddoos, provincial advisor on information Salahuddin Haider, former governor Mamnoon Hussain, Imdad Chandio, Salim Zia, Sardar Abdur Rahim, Nihal Hashmi, Mohammad Ali Abbasi advocate, Saathi Ishaq, Nasrullah Baloch, Abdullah Murad, Waqar Mehdi, Rafiq Engineer, Nasreen Chandio, Shamim Ara Panhwar, Muzaffar Shujra, Habibuddin Junedi, Saeed Chawla, industrialists Nasir Chandna and many others.
