TIMERGARA, July 7: Electioneering has gained momentum in the Lower Dir as the by-election would be held on July 14 for the seat of the district Nazim that fell vacant due to the death of Dr Yaqub Khan.

A contest is expected between the Awami National Party’s Hussain Shah and Al Khidmat group’s Haji Ehsanul Haq.

National Awami Party Pakistan’s candidate Shamsul Qamar has withdrawn  from the contest and the Pakistan People’s Party’s councillors have announced their support to Mr Shah. The PML-N is supporting Mr Haq.
