NAWABSHAH: Activists of the Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz (JSQM) here on Wednesday held a demonstration outside the local press club in protest against non-arrest of the accused involved in attacking their colleagues.

The protesters were carrying placards and chanting slogans against the incident.

Led by Sajan Mugheri, Rafiq Mallah, Moiz Jamali and Gulbahar Lakho, the protesters said their fellow activists had been severely beaten at the Sanghar road when they were returning from Bhria after attending a protest against the killing of JSQM leaders Maqsood Qureshi and Salman Wadhu.

They said four workers had been injured and hospitalised. FIR had been registered of the incident, but no arrests had so far been made, they regretted.

The protesters said they knew the way to defend themselves and announced to hold a protest demonstration at the Sanghar road on April 19, led by JSQM vice chairman Dr Niaz Kalani.
