Three die in accidents

HARIPUR, July 6: Two passengers were killed and six others injured in an accident here on the GT Road on Saturday night.

The police said that an Islamabad-bound passenger Toyota van (3864) coming from Mansehra overturned after its front tire burst near village Daidan, some 12km from here, on the GT road.

Eight persons on board the van were seriously injured and shifted to the district headquarters hospital, Haripur, where two of them died of their injuries, the others were admitted.

Those killed were identified as Mohammed Farid and Mukhtar Ahmad of village Tarchiti Mansehra.

In another accident Nadeem Riaz, 15, of Mohalla Baboo was crushed to death by a truck.
