KARACHI: National Gymkhana whipped Orangi Muslim CC by 165 runs to qualify for the semi-finals of the KCCA Zone-VI Daud Khan Memorial Cricket Tournament at the RLCA Ground in North Karachi on Saturday.

Batting first, National Gymkhana posted 286-7 in their stipulated 40 overs. Usman Khalil struck nine fours and one six in his top-score of 65. Abrar Warsi made 61 with the aid of eight boundaries, while Allah Rakha contributed 46 useful runs.

Leg-spinner Syed Kamran Ali captured four wickets for 45 runs.

Orangi Muslim CC, in reply, folded up inside 18 overs for just 121.

Mohammad Nadeem (36) and Zohaib Khan were the main run-getters.

Usman Khalil followed his fine batting with two wickets for 10 runs.
