PPP recalls July 1977

LARKANA, July 5: The Peoples’ Party Parliamentarian held a meeting here on Saturday to recall the imposition of martial law and dismissal of the elected government of the late prime minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto on July 5 1977.

Larkana PPP information secretary Asghar Shaikh, Mazhar Junejo and others spoke at the gathering, held in the city office of the party in Kennedy Market.

They said that since 1977, the country had been pushed into a crisis.—Correspondent
