ISLAMABAD, July 3: The Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA) will hold countrywide rallies on Friday against the decision of the election tribunal disqualifying its MNA from Kohat.

MMA Secretary-General Maulana Fazlur Rehman and Deputy Secretary-General Hafiz Hussain Ahmad would address a rally at Lal Masjid here after Jumma prayers, said an MMA leader Mian Mohammad Aslam, dilating on the mode of protest.

Talking to APP, he said Jamaat-i-Islami Ameer Qazi Hussain Ahmad would address the rally in Lahore, Maulana Sami-ul-Haq in Peshawar, Maulana Shah Ahmad Noorani in Karachi and Maulana Mohammad Khan Sherani in Quetta. Mian Aslam would address the Islamabad rally.

Mian Aslam said a meeting of the MMA Islamabad leaders was held under the leadership of Hafiz Hussain Ahmad on Thursday to finalise the strategy.

The six-party alliance has vowed to mobilize people against the decision of the election tribunal instead of going to the courts.—APP
