KARACHI, July 3: Berthing activity at the wharves on Thursday was maintained on the higher side as six ships, including one with coal, were berthed, according to KPT sources.

The ships, which got berths included Hyundai Sprinter, Al-Mariyah, Cape Henry to unload and load containers, Sibi to offload general cargo, Pearl of Jeddah to offload coal and Mariy Ann to unload gas oil.

Four ships, APL Cairo, Hyundai Sprinter, Badula Valley and H.D. Saturn departed on Thursday, while Mar Challenger, Sima Bahar, Shao Shan-1, Al-Mariyah Mariy Ann and Cape Henry are due to sail out on Friday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was active where a total tonnage 0f 69,143 tons comprising 24,239 tons of export cargo, including 3,743 tons of wheat and 2,526 tons of chromore and 44,904 tons of import cargo, was handled. The following ships are due on Friday: Kota Tegap and Wester Moor to unload and load containers.
