MINGORA: A five-day snow festival will commence from March 12 (Wednesday) at the picturesque Malam Jabba valley of Swat district.

According to a press release issued by the ISPR, the festival would not only accommodate requirements of the tourists but also provide sufficient entertainment opportunities to the local people.

Snow sports events like paragliding, hang-gliding, tobogganing and aero-modeling involving professional players would feature the event.

Special funfair activities, including a music gala, would also be arranged for women and children at the Malam Jabba ski resort. The snow festival would not only help in promotion of tourism in the area but would also prove to be an important milestone in conversion of the dream of durable peace in Malakand division into a reality, according to the press release. — Correspondent
