DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Several suspected militants were feared dead on Thursday morning when helicopter gunships attacked their hideouts in the mountainous area of FR Sherani bordering South Waziristan Agency and Dera Ismail Khan.

According to local people, Zarkani Luni and adjoining areas were targeted.

However, there was no formal confirmation of the shelling from the administration.

They said helicopters carried out the operation at around 9am, destroying several hideouts.

The sources claimed that militants and criminals had made bunkers in the area.
